Hollywood Hills
The Hollywood Hills is a hilly neighborhood of Los Angeles. It is part of the eastern section of the low transverse range of the Santa Monica Mountains, which extends from Los Feliz and Hollywood, on the south side of the San Fernando Valley, and extends to the Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu and Pacific Palisades.
These hills form the north barrier of the Los Angeles basin. There has been extensive residential development in the Hollywod Hills since the 1920’s. The area includes Mulholland Drive, Beachwood Canyon, Laurel Canyon, Nichols Canyon and Mount Olympus.
The most famous part of the Hollywood Hills is above the Sunset Strip, which is dotted with the mansions of the rich and famous. The average home price is over $1,000,000.
Some points of interest are Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Boulevard, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It also includes a number of great restaurants and shopping with a close proximity to Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.
