SUNSET STRIP

Sunset Boulevard is famous, but the best known portion of the boulevard is the mile and a half stretch of Sunset between Hollywood and Beverly Hills which is dubbed “The Sunset Strip”.

Running between Crescent Heights Boulevard (on the East) and Doheny Drive (on theWest), the Sunset Strip embraces a premier collection of restaurants, boutiques, and Hollywood nightspots that are on the cutting edge of the entertainment business. In the evening, the Strip is a vibrant slash of neon, a traffic jam of young cruisers on Weekends, a stimulating mecca for people-watchers and celebrity wannabes. The Strip has taken on an eccentric character all its own with mammoth, hand-made Billboards as one of its trademarks. These advertisements used to catch the eye of Hollywood producers and deal-makers driving to work from their Beverly Hills homes. Now, called “Vanity Boards” these billboards primarily puff up the egos of the stars they promote.

Today the Strip contains some of the most exclusive condominium complexes on the West Coast. However, the most coveted residences in Los Angeles are in the celebrity-studded hills above the Sunset Strip. This area runs from Kings Road, to Sunset Plaza Drive, to Doheny Drive. Homes in the area generally range from $2,500,000 - 15 million, providing incomparable privacy and breathtaking views of the entire Los Angeles Basin.
